Effect of Rhizobium Inoculation, NPS Fertilizer and Vermicompost on Nodulation and Yield of Soybean (<i>Glycine max</i> (l). Merrill) at Bako, Western Ethiopia

In Ethiopia, acidity-related soil fertility problems are the main production constraints, reducing productivity of major crops grown in country. The experiment was carried out to determine influence Blended NPS fertilizer, Seed Inoculation with Rhizobium Bacteria and Vermicompost (VC) application on soybean nodulation yield soybean. Factorial combinations (uninoculated, inoculated), three VC levels (0, 1 2 t ha-1) (50%, 75% 100% 100 kg were laid Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) replications. results showed that highest number nodule per plant (32.0) effective (31.4) recorded at combination tons ha-1 75 while aboveground biomass (8953 ha-1. Likewise, inoculation (TAL-379) gave nodules (26.3). On other hand, factors interaction inoculation, rates significantly influenced primary branches (NPB), pod plant, seed harvest index where pods (87.6), maximum (4180 (47%) from plots treated + inoculated TAL-379 strain. Thus, considering importance integrated nutrient management climate mitigation adaptation; combined strain had resulted better optimum 3870 is tentatively recommended for use.
